The first (new) Spokane Java User Group Meeting - January 26th, 2008 from 4-6 pm.

Meeting location is The Service Station coffee house on 9315 N. Nevada, Spokane, WA. (that is in North Spokane on Nevada between Magnesium and Hawthorne).

The goal of this site and group is to (re)establish monthly Java programmer user group meetings in the Spokane area.

Information on meetings, activities, guest speakers and more is to be found here.

Also be sure to join the email list for announcements and discussions. Just send a blank email to:
list-subscribe@spokanejug.com
Then wait for the email verification response to reply to (be sure to check your spam filters/folders to make sure you receive it).
Then you will be able to post to everyone on the list by simply sending an email to:
list@spokanejug.com. This list will also be used to send reminders and notifications about upcoming meetings and events.

Additional features of this website include a live real time IRC (Internet Relay Chat) service, web based forums, email discussion and announcement lists, code snippet repositories and more.

You can use the "Java Jive" link in the left hand navigation to access the web-based Java applet client to join the chatroom, or you can point your install IRC(Internet Relay Chat) client to:

Meetings are currently scheduled for the 4th Saturday of each month from 4-7 pm. Come when you can. Some show up right around 4, others closer to 5 or even 6. You're welcome whenever you can make it.

The next Spokane Java User Group meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 29th, 2008, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the usual location (The Service Station Coffee House in North Spokane) (NOTICE: Hawke will be unable to attend this meeting, but please proceed without him. If no one can make it to this meeting due to the holiday, please post on the email list and we will try to schedule on the following week or so.

  • The seventh JUG meeting was Saturday, October 25th, 2008, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the usual location (The Service Station Coffee House in North Spokane).
  • The sixth Spokane Java User Group meeting was held on Saturday, September 27th, 2008, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the usual location (The Service Station Coffee House in North Spokane).
  • The sixth Spokane Java User Group meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 28th, 2008, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the usual location (The Service Station Coffee House in North Spokane)
  • Due to a hectic schedule, the June, July & August meetings kept getting bumped. Things have been back on track since September.
  • The fifth meeting was Saturday, May 24th, 2008, from 4 pm to 6 pm.
  • Please note the 4th meeting was postponed 1 week.
    It was took place on: Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 4-6 pm.

    Same location (Service Station Coffee House).
  • Meeting 4 of the Spokane JUG was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 26th, 2008, from 4ish to 7ish pm.
  • The third JUG meeting was on Saturday, March 22nd, 2008, from 4 to 7 pm.
  • The second meeting was Saturday, February 23nd, 2008, from 4 to 6:30 pm.
  • The first meeting was on Saturday January 26th, 2008 from 4-6 pm.
